Ab​out Leo

Born in Costa Rica in 1989, Leo is one of seven siblings. His art is inspired ​by nature and a childhood full of life, which nourished his natural talent ​while he observed and lived unique experiences at his parents' farm. There, ​they grew their own food and shared a humble table, instilling a simple but ​powerful lust for life that would later nurture their goals and endeavors.

As he grew and his talent became evident, Leo’s dad noticed his sons ​passion for painting natural sceneries and animals. From time to time, Leo’s ​dad would get him a large drawing book and art supplies and ask him to ​draw one of his cows.

Later, Leo was fortunate to be part of the Santa Grafica Academy of Art in ​Costa Rica, where he learned drawing techniques and continued to paint, ​specializing in oils.

Today, we see Leo as an exceptional home designer and builder. He ​applies his knowledge and creativity in the building industry at his family’s ​firm, Cruz Brothers Construction, and ONDA Design and Architecture. ​While being a husband and father of four, he finds time to immerse himself ​in what he calls "my Leo time" to create his paintings and large metal ​sculptures. These pursuits feed his soul and allow him to help others while ​doing what he loves.
